The Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotion Commission is a destination marketing agency overseen by a seven-person commission. Funded through prepared food sales and short-term lodging taxes, the A&P Commission markets Pine Bluff as a year-round destination for leisure, business, group and individual travel. In addition to raising the majority of operating funds for the Pine Bluff Convention Center, the Commission provides funding assistance to many Pine Bluff attractions, festivals, sporting events, and special events. The Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotion Commission meets the fourth Monday of every month at 5:00 PM at the A&P offices at 623 S. Main Street.

This notice is to inform the public there are two (2) vacancies on the Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotion Commission. The vacancies are for owners or managers of a hotel, motel, or restaurant and will complete the remaining terms of the previous tourism industry commissioners. These positions are eligible for re-appointment.
Applicants must be a qualified elector within the city limits of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This is a volunteer position with no compensation. Positions will remain open until filled.

CAREER OPPORTUNITY: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The Pine Bluff Advertising and Promotion Commission / Explore Pine Bluff is currently seeking qualified applicants and conducting early interviews for a full-time Administrative Assistant position to begin on October 1, 2026.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our day-to-day office operations, managing financial and tax administration, and serving as a welcoming representative for Pine Bluff tourism and community initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Financial & Tax Administration: Managing A&P tax collections and records through Neumo software, processing accounts payable, handling bank deposits, maintaining Sage accounting software, and preparing monthly financial draft reports.
- Office & Board Operations: Managing daily office routines, handling Commission board meeting logistics, and transcribing meeting minutes.
- Tourism & Event Support: Welcoming visitors, tracking visitor statistics, managing promotional merchandise, assembling welcome packages for incoming groups, and assisting with event logistics.
